Stallion pedigrees in STARs contain stakes information that is complete from 1980 to the present and wins information from 1975 to the present. Current standards for pedigree blacktype are: UPPER CASE BLACKTYPE indicates a 2:00 or faster record for horses born in 2018 or earlier, pacing record of 1:52 or trotting record of 1:55 for foals of 2019 or later, $100,000 earner, or stakes winner; Lower case blacktype means the horse is stakes placed.
